The Albany Midwifery Practice is based at the Peckham Pulse, a Healthy Living Centre, at the heart of the community in Peckham, South East London. We have an NHS contract for our caseload. See about us for more information.

Welcome to the Albany Midwifery Practice website

The Albany Midwives believe women have the right to be given evidence based information in order to make informed choices throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. We hope you find our site informative and inspiring.

Working with an ‘all risk’ caseload, last year we were able to provide personal care to 97% of our caseload, 57% of whom had home births and 84.3% of all women had a normal birth. At 28 days 79% of women are still breastfeeding.

We would like to encourage more midwives to work with the caseload model to improve birth outcomes for women and job satisfaction for midwives.
